RULES AND REGULATIONS
1 – ORGANISATION
ASD Atleticom is the organiser of the 6th edition of the ATLETICOM WE RUN ROME, an event included in the national FIDAL calendar, a competitive and non-competitive 5 and 10 km road race.
2 – FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The event enjoys financial support from Roma Capitale, the Lazio Region, the Regional Council of Lazio, and is held under the aegis of CONI and FIDAL.
3 – MEETING POINT
Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 12.00 at the “Nando Martellini” Terme di Caracalla Stadium in Rome. The start for the events will be in Via delle Terme di Caracalla. The 10K race will start at 14:00, the 5K race will start at 14:15.
4 – REGISTRATION
For the competitive and non-competitive 10K event the registration fee is €20.00 until 15 December, from 16 December until the day of the race the cost is €25.00.
For the 5K event the registration fee is €15.00 until 15 December, from December 16 until the day of the race the cost is €18.00.
Registrations can be made until December 30 on the online portal www.werunrome2016.com. (or until all the 10,000 places are taken)
The competitive 10km race is reserved for athletes who are EIGHTEEN (born in 1998 or earlier).
Those eligible to participate are:
- Athletes enrolled for the year 2016 with a club affiliated to FIDAL;
- Athletes who are members of a Sports Promotion Body (Athletics section) with agreements with FIDAL:
- Athletes who have a valid RunCard.
- For the non-competitive 5K event there are no age limits.
- For the non-competitive 10K event, registration is open to anybody who is 14 years of age on 31 December 2016. For minors, the online parental authorization form will have to be filled in at the time of registration.
5 - REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT METHODS
Registration can be carried out online at www.werunrome2016.com (registration fees are non-refundable). Payment can be made using:
- Electronic payment by credit card, prepaid cards and PayPal;
- Bank transfer;
- In cash at the Atleticom offices in Via dei Monti della Farnesina 77, 00135 - Rome
6 – RACE PACK
All athletes in the competitive and non-competitive events (5km and 10km) will receive a Nike bag containing: the Nike T-shirt of the event, their race bib and number and some gadgets offered by our sponsors. A chip to record the time will be attached to the race number of the participants in the 10k race.
7 – COLLECTION OF THE RACE PACK
Race packs can be collected from Tuesday 27 December to Friday 30 December between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the “Nando Martellini” Terme di Caracalla Stadium, Rome.
It will also be possible to collect your race pack on the day of the event until 1 p.m. at a special stand.
8 – INFORMATION
On the official site www.werunrome2016.com there is the F.A.Q. section which contains answers to the most commonly asked questions.
9 – CATEGORIES
For the competitive event, the athletes will be divided into the FIDAL categories.
For the non-competitive events there will not be any classifications.
10 – INDIVIDUAL PRIZES
The top three men and top three women in the competitive event will be awarded prizes.
The top 5 of each of the other categories in the competitive event will be awarded prizes of sports equipment and other items.
11 – PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY
The prize-giving ceremony for the fastest 3 men and fastest 3 women will be held on the day of the race at 16.00 at the Atleticom We Run Rome Village at the Terme di Caracalla Stadium.
The prize-giving ceremony for the other categories and the Roma Run Challenge prizes will be awarded at an event to be organized for the occasion, the venue and day of which will be communicated later.
12 – RUN ROME CHALLENGE
The first male competitor and the first female competitor who are residents in Rome to cross the finishing line will also receive a prize.
13 – AID STATIONS
There will be two aid stations for the 10K event – one at the 5km point and another at the end of the race.
There will be an aid station at the end of the race for the 5K event
14 – CLUB PRIZES
The 10 clubs or gyms that have the highest number of participants who finish the events will also be awarded prizes. The total number of athletes who cross the finishing line will determine the final rankings. In addition, teams will receive a bonus for the number of athletes in their team that cross the finishing line as follows:

16 - ROUTE FOR THE NON-COMPETITIVE 5K EVENT

17 – BAG DEPOSIT AND CHANGING AREAS
There will be a special area in the Atleticom We Run Rome Village where you can check in and deposit your personal effects free of charge on race day. We recommend you do not bring valuables with you.
There will be two changing areas, one for men and one for women.
18 –MEDICAL SERVICES
Medical stations will be positioned along the route of the race and in the village at the end of the race.

19 – ART. 13, LEGISLATIVE DECREE 196/2003 – PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION CODE
All personal data which is compulsory for registration for the Atleticom We Run Rome will be handled by the Organizing Committee in accordance with the provisions for privacy.
20 – IMAGE RIGHTS
Upon registration for the Atleticom We Run Rome, the athlete authorizes the organizers and media partners to use any still or moving images that may include the athlete during their participation in the event in all media, including promotional materials and/or advertising, all over the world and for the maximum time allowed by the laws, regulations, and treaties in force, including all extension options to be provided by law. In compliance with regulations, during the event, each participant may wear their club kit, or if they wish, the shirt made exclusively by the sponsor Nike provided in the race pack.
21 – TIMING AND CLASSIFICATIONS
The timing service and the processing of the classifications will be provided by the company SDAM. A disposable chip will be used and therefore it is not necessary to return it to the organizers after the event.
22 – COMPLAINTS
I reclami vanno inoltrati al Giudice d'appello accompagnati dalla tassa di €50,00 restituibile nel caso di accoglimento del reclamo.
All complaints and appeals must be submitted in writing to the Race Judge accompanied by the charge of €50.00, which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
23 – GENERAL REGULATIONS
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change the present regulations at any time for any reasons it deems appropriate to improve the organization of the race.
Any issues not covered by these Regulations are subject to the statutory technical standards of the FIDAL. Any changes to services, venues and timetables will be communicated to all the registered athletes via the event website www.werunrome2016.com or through the official facebook page.
